Music stunts for arts NGO
Tribute: a young Syd Barrett
Arts and mental health charity Escape Artists is gearing up for a major PR drive in October.
The charity will tell the media that expressing creativity is crucial for people's wellbeing.
The campaign will centre on a series of events in tribute to the late Pink Floyd musician Syd Barrett. The charity wants to raise its profile in regional, national and third sector media and attract funding.
Regional media will be targeted alongside the arts and society sections in the broadsheets. Pink Floyd fans will be reached through online sites, Facebook, MySpace, and music magazines.
The Cambridge-based charity has a relationship with Syd Barrett's sister Rosemary Breen.
