New corporate director for Wag Ed

Waggener Edstrom Worldwide has appointed Will Cameron as its new director of corporate strategy. Cameron was formerly head of corporate media relations at Logica and will work with clients on corporate reputation and issues management programmes. Before joining Waggener Edstrom, Cameron spent more than 20 years working at Inspace, Philips Components and Thorn EMI.

Microlise has taken on Johnson King to raise its profile in the UK media. The Nottingham-based company develops solutions for the transport and logistics industry, which range from information on how vehicles are being driven to providing confirmation of deliveries. Johnson King has been retained following a three-month trial period. The agency will run campaigns aimed at increasing Microlise's coverage in the IT corporate media and the trade and vertical press. Ranieri Communications has brought in Emma Cross as associate director. Cross was previously at Sony UK, where she managed the group consumer electronics PR. Cross' job will be to expand the account teams and to provide strategic support to clients. Before Sony, Emma worked as an account director at GBC PR, working with brands including Nokia, Panasonic and Packard Bell.

Phocas has appointed Say Communications to run its UK PR drive. The account is worth around £50,000 and Say will work on building brand awareness for the company and differentiating Phocas from its competitors in the increasingly cluttered business intelligence market. Louise Stewart-Muir, director at Say Communications, will handle the account.
