Matt Cartmell 08-Sep-08
The Department for International Development (DFID) has appointed two high-level PROs to continue bolstering its comms unit.
Charlotte Morgan has been hired as the deputy head of news, along with Natalie Acton who is the new deputy comms director and head of strategic communications.
Morgan was formerly chief press officer and press secretary to Yvette Cooper, Housing Minister, at the Department of Communities and Local Government. She has also been press secretary to David Milliband.
Acton started her career at the Treasury, working on international debt relief and then tax policy.
She has also worked at No.10 on home affairs and children's issues for four years before spending two years at Lewisham Council as assistant director of strategy and performance in children's services.
