Inverness calls in Virgo

Inverness Medical has hired Virgo Health to launch a new women's health product. The agency will introduce Balance Activ in the UK. Meanwhile, Kamiqua Pearce joins the agency as senior account executive from Vitabiotics, where she was PR executive. The agency's other clients include Nurofen.

Fleishman-Hillard has hired Marc Southern as an associate director in its digital healthcare division. He joins in the newly created position from his role as head of project management at OnMedica. Southern, a qualified pharmacologist, will work across healthcare PR, healthcare PA and Remedy.

United Therapeutics Europe has brought on board healthcare specialist Road to handle its medical education support. The agency is charged with supporting its pulmonary arterial hypertension drug Remodulin across Europe.

Ketchum has recruited May Baccari from Resolute Communications to join the healthcare team as a senior account manager to support work for Roche. Additionally, Alexander Watson and Catherine Barnett have been promoted to practice directors.
