Nationwide's comms team boosted by three new hires.
Nationwide has made three senior appointments to its in-house comms team. Fiona MacAllan will become the building society's head of internal comms from 3 November. Caroline Hallatt has been made head of corporate responsibility, to focus on delivering a new CSR strategy. She has been at Nationwide since 2007. Both will report to Maxine Taylor, divisional director, corporate affairs. Additionally, Chris A'Court has been hired as senior manager, media relations and member engagement. He is currently assistant editor of BBC Radio 4's Money Box programme and will report to Alan Oliver, head of media relations and member engagement.
The Bank of New York Mellon has hired Vee Montebello from Hume Brophy Communications as senior comms manager. Montebello will look after international comms for BNY Mellon Asset Management's investment management boutiques, focusing on its institutional product offering. She will report to Jamie Brookes, global head of asset management comms. Previously she headed up the London office of Hume Brophy.
Resolution, the financial services acquisition company founded by entrepreneur Clive Cowdery, has handed retained agency Temple Bar Advisory the brief to manage its £1bn IPO. The firm is looking to float in November and use the proceeds to buy or take stakes in insurance, banking and asset management firms with potential for restructuring. Ultimately it is looking to put £5bn into troubled European financial services firms.
The Daily Telegraph and its website Telegraph.co.uk are to publish financial content from breakingviews.com. The site is dedicated to financial commentary, with 25 correspondents and columnists based in global financial centres around the world. Finsbury senior partner Roland Rudd is a non-executive director of Breakingviews and owns more than five per cent of the firm.
