David Singleton

David manages all aspects of PRWeek’s news coverage, and specialises in public affairs and political communications.

He joined PRWeek in January 2007, having previously worked on the GuardianUnlimited website and the social policy magazines Inside Housing and Children Now.

A keen politico, David started his career at BBC News Online during the 2001 general election, working on the ‘Talking Points’ section of the website where he was responsible for gauging the public's reaction to the infamous 'Prescott punch'.

David has won the Guardian's Student Website of the Year award and has won Haymarket’s Business Journalist of the Year award. In 2008, he was shortlisted for Press Gazette’s News Reporter of the Year award.
 
In his spare time David enjoys heading to the Academy of Football to watch West Ham and heading to the French alps for a spot of snowboarding.
