RSA hires 3 Monkeys for comms support
Sellors: RSA UK head of external communications
Gemma O'Reilly 07-Oct-08
Insurer RSA has eschewed financial PR experts to pick consumer and B2B shop 3 Monkeys to handle its communications support.
3 Monkeys was hired following a five-way pitch. The account was put out to pitch in June (PRWeek, 16 June 2008). Incumbent agency Manning Selvage & Lee had held the account since March last year.
3 Monkeys' brief is to handle broker and B2B communications, aiming to reinforce RSA's status as industry experts.
The team will be lead by head of consultancy Ali Gee and they will report into UK head of external communications Jon Sellors.
‘We originally spoke to a dozen agencies, many of whom are renowned for their financial PR experience,' said Sellors. ‘But 3 Monkeys stood out. In such a competitive environment we need to take a fresh look at insurance PR.'
