Tesco's development arm hires agency
Welwyn Garden City: £300 million development
Chloe Markowicz 30-Sep-08
Spenhill, the development arm of Tesco, has hired Golley Slater PR to run a six figure ongoing project.
The Welwyn Garden City scheme is a £300m development in Hertfordshire. Spenhill hopes to construct residential accommodation, offices, leisure facilities, and a public square on the 7.8 hectares of land it owns.
Golley Slater won the account in a three-way pitch. The agency will be managing community relations, including keeping locals informed about the development and ensuring their questions are answering. It will also advise Spenhill on political lobbying and media relations.
This past summer Spenhill hired Golley Slater to work on a regeneration project in Kent.
