Pleon snaps up Kyocera Mita job

Pleon has bagged a pan-European brief for printer and photocopier company Kyocera Mita.

The agency wants to establish Kyocera Mita’s European sales and marketing centre in Meerbusch, Germany as a hub for its European PR.

Kyocera is launching 18 devices this year, as it bids to bring about 20 per cent year-on-year European sales growth to above £645m.

Pleon won a two-phase pitch, entering a final round against Lewis PR and GCI. The agency has UK and
Germany-based staff on the account, reporting to Kyocera Europe PR manager Andreas vom Bruch.

The brief comes a year after the establishment of the Meerbusch centre, headed by senior general manager Jurgen Kruger.

The primary expansion of the business will be across B2B printer sales, colour printing and document-management devices such as iTag, which launched last month.
